Good Grief: Stories at 207 West 88th Street

A New York apartment building is the setting for this collection of nine miniature stories of the people who live there, beautifully written and superbly performed by Terianne Falcone, with mellow musical interludes in this production by the Purple Pudding Clause trio.

Bruna the Italian building supervisor links these compassionate tales of love, loss, foibles and flaws together.

Falcone vanishes into each character, haunted by memories, some horrific, some tender and often unexpectedly funny, her voice, face and body shifting from one gripping tale and its teller to the next.

With no set, just a chair or two, a tweak to costume and hair and some subtle light and sound, this show is all about the writing and its performance.
